Racing Club vs San Martin San Juan
Competition: Argentina Superliga
Date: 10 December 2018
Kick-off: 01:30 CET
Coach-related news… threatened to destabilize Racing Club these last days, but El Chacho Coudet cleared out that he is not going anywhere, at least not now. He was approached by Chilean giants Colo-Colo, he actually met with a top official, but talking to reporters in Avellaneda he said he feels his job at Racing is not done, and obviously it isn’t; they are leading, with three fifths of the season gone, they are strong favorites to win the title, so Coudet’s choice to stay put, makes sense. Last weekend, Racing played an awesome game at Talleres Córdoba, took a 0-2 lead by halftime, made it 0-3 right after restart, and ended up winning 1-3, their fourth win in their last five matches. Thirty-three points have them at the top of the table.
Paraguayan center-forward Pablo Palacios did an awesome job at Gimnasia Mendoza the previous two seasons, scoring 42 goals in 65 league games, that’s why San Martín San Juan signed him, but in eight appearances for them he had scored just once before last weekend, and that was back in September, in a 1-3 home defeat to Atlético Tucumán. The 30-year-old proved fundamental in San Martín’s 2-0 win over Unión Santa Fe a week ago, at home, scoring both goals. It was their second win in their last three matches, and their fourth this season. Fourteen points from 13 games have them 19th in the Superliga table, and 22nd in the “promedio” table, right above the relegation line.

Racing Club vs San Martin San Juan: Prediction
Racing shot their own foot two weeks ago at home, drawing 0-0 with Banfield. There is no… rule saying that they can’t drop the ball again, but it’s hard to imagine them not win this game.
Racing Club vs San Martin San Juan: Betting Tips
A simple Racing win, at 1.30, doesn’t appeal to me. “Racing and under 2.5 goals” is my choice, at 3.10, expecting San Martín to prove a tough nut to break, lose, but not more than 1-0 or 2-0, and, obviously, not score.
