Real Madrid vs Juventus
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 11 April 2017
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Real Madrid’s win at 2.50 was my main tip last week when the Merengues visited Juventus, also suggesting their victory in “draw no bet” and their double chance for the more conservative ones. They definitely did even better than what I expected, not just winning, but pretty much securing their spot in the semifinals. As for who the biggest reference was, you know, you can’t be a football fan reading these lines without having seen Cristiano Ronaldo’s second goal, the most beautiful one of his career, as he himself called it. Last weekend, Real Madrid hosted city rivals Atlético, Ronaldo scored again, but Atlético answered back within minutes, and ended up “stealing” a 1-1 draw. Interestingly, Ronaldo was substituted with half an hour left, something he expected, something he and Zinedine Zidane had talked about before the game. Real Madrid are fourth in LaLiga, 15 whole points behind leaders Barcelona. Sergio Ramos is out, due to cards.
As if losing 2-0 weren’t enough, Juventus lost Paulo Dybala as well, as the Argentine saw a red card, and will miss the return leg. Soon after that, Juventus conceded again, to… make their misery even bigger. Dybala scored a hat-trick last weekend in Juve’s 2-4 win at Benevento. Two of those came from the penalty spot. As one Italian newspaper interestingly put it, Dybala’s hat-trick sort of… temporarily hid other Juventus problems under the carpet. The way they lost last week was… not exactly “embarrassing”, they were facing Real Madrid, after all, but it definitely proved that they are not at the level needed to challenge for the Champions League title. Do Juventus believe they can perform a miracle at Santiago Bernabeu? Giorgio Chiellini says yes, said so in public.

Despite not needing to, I expect Real Madrid to win again, and the game to have at least three goals.
Real Madrid vs Juventus: Betting Tips
“Over 2.5 goals” doesn’t pay more than 1.57, but I feel it’s very-very probable, and maybe a good add-on to another bet. Combined with Real Madrid’s win, it goes up to 2.20.
