Roma vs Real Madrid
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 27 November 2018
Kick-off: 21:00 CET
Roma are one step away from securing their presence in the Champions League last-16, they are on nine points, five ahead of third-placed CSKA Moscow, but things domestically are going anything but well for them. On Saturday they lost 1-0 at Udinese, falling 7th(!) in the table. They have won three of their four Champions League group matches, but in their championship, they have celebrated just one victory in their last five games. They lack consistency, they have been lacking consistency since the start of the season, and things for them are not getting any better as time passes. Back in September, they lost 3-0 in Madrid, falling easy prey to Real.
Just when Santiago Solari signed a proper contract with Real Madrid, no longer being an interim coach, they lost. Los Merengues had four wins in a row in three competitions, they scored 15(!) goals in those four matches, including five at Viktoria Plzen three weeks ago, but on Saturday they got embarrassed by Eibar, losing, and losing big, 3-0. The Press and the fans are steadily turning Gareth Bale into a scapegoat, for not delivering what he was expected, now with Cristiano Ronaldo gone. They are 6th(!) in La Liga, six points behind leaders Sevilla (not Barcelona!), but at least in the Champions League things have gone more or less according to… plan, thus far. They are leading, on nine points, super close to securing their spot in the last-16, mathematically.

Roma have hosted Real Madrid five times before; one win for them, and four for the Spanish side. Total goals, 3-11.
Roma vs Real Madrid: Prediction
Two hurt teams are facing each other. Real Madrid are considered rather clear favorites to win, but I’m backing the hosts to earn at least a draw, feeling that they have a bigger motive in this game.
Roma vs Real Madrid: Betting Tips
“Roma or draw” is at 1.80, my main tip. Their win in “draw no bet” is at 2.37.
