Sale Sharks vs Saracens
Competition: Aviva Premiership Rugby
Date: 20 November 2016
Table topping Saracens are looking like not much can slow them down, they were knocked off course briefly by Harlequins, but since then it has been total dominance in the Premiership, as well as in Europe. Up against a Sale side that are performing quite well, they will still very very confident of another win.
It is always an interesting time for the Premiership sides when there are international games on the go. Saracens have a number of their key men with England, but also a number of them out injured. Jamie George, Mako and Billy Vunipola, Owen Farrell and Alex Goode are all out of the running as well as George Kruis and Maro Itoje in the Sarries’ second row. Besides all the interruptions, Saracens are too much of a class team to feel like they will collapse without their key players, as they have plenty of depth.
Sale, in the meantime, have only got two players in the England team, but Josh Beaumont and Michael Haley have not been needed just yet. Sale are currently in fifth, behind the big three of Sarries, Wasps and Bath, who have only suffered one loss each, as well as Tigers who are in third. However, Sale have only won four games, indicating how tight knit the top three are. It is still an impressive showing from Sale though as they have picked up wins against Harlequins, Tigers and of course, Bristol.

Sale Sharks vs Saracens: Prediction
The Saracens are severely depleted in terms of their usual starters, and Sale are not a team to be sneezed at, especially at home. However, there is far too much class to be giving Sale the win here as you have to feel Saracens will continue to thrive at the top of the table with the structures they have in place. Expect Sarries to win, but it won’t be as comprehensive as it could have been.
Sale Sharks vs Saracens: Tips
Saracens are renowned for their defensive structures, which they use to inflict attacking pressure. They are without a few key men who do this for them, like Farrell, and the Vunipola brothers, so it probably will be more of a scrap. Sarries to win by 10 points maximum.
