San Lorenzo vs Talleres Cordoba
Competition: Argentina Superliga
Date: 4 November 2018
Kick-off: 19:30 CET
“I’m taking a step aside. It will be good for the players to see a different face in training tomorrow. I’ll remain a simple San Lorenzo fan”. That’s how Claudio Biaggio announced his departure from San Lorenzo, in the Press conference after their elimination by Temperley in the Copa Argentina on Wednesday. They managed to equalize in added time, playing with 10 men, but they failed – big – in the penalty shootout. Biaggio was under pressure even before that horrible result, and it feels like he quit before getting fired. Diego Monarriz is acting as an interim coach, and San Lorenzo hope to shake hands with Jorge Almirón as soon as possible. The former Defensa y Justicia, Godoy Cruz, Independiente and Lanús coach, is currently working at Atlético Nacional, in Colombia. Striker Blandi is out, injured.
Talleres Córdoba need to… shape up. After an awesome last season, they are now on just 11 points from 10 matches, 17th in the Superliga table. They will be playing Copa Libertadores football next year, they still have time to work on the way they play, plus, definitely, strengthen their squad, but until that happens, they need to… save as much as they can. Last weekend, they drew without goals at home against San Martín Tucumán. The visitors’ goalkeeper was their best player, it’s a sign that Talleres were the better team on the field, but they were playing against a weak opponent, at home, and should have done much-much better.

San Lorenzo vs Talleres Cordoba: Prediction
One way or another, San Lorenzo manage to find ways at home, to get the result they want. Talleres have lost four of their five games as guests, despite taking the lead in two of those.
San Lorenzo vs Talleres Cordoba: Betting Tips
San Lorenzo’s win pays 2.10. “Over 2.5 goals” is at 2.60. These two combined, promise an awesome 4.33. San Lorenzo’s home games tend to have several goals, and after what happened midweek, I expect the hosts to look even more motivated.
