Saracens vs Leicester Tigers
Competition: English Premiership
Date: 29 October 2016
Kick-off: 16:00 CET
Top of the table Saracens really look unbeatable this season – unless you are Quins of course – but Leicester have been around the block a few times and they will be no pushover.
The Saracens have lost just once in their last 18 fixtures, and incredible stat for the Premiership and European Champions. That loss was a surprise 10-17 slip against Quins as early back as the end of September. However, since then, they have marched on relentlessly both at home and in Europe. Now, at home, they will be even harder to beat seeing as their last loss at home was as far back as March.
The Tigers have shown that they do not like to travel, losing each away game they have played in their last five games in total, and in those last six away games, they have conceded 24 tries. It does not make for good reading for the Tigers, especially at Allianz Park. However, the Tigers are building up slowly, and after a break from Premiership action, they could be primed for an upset.
Saracens vs Leicester Tigers: Head-to-Head Stats
This is a pretty historic clash when it comes to English rugby powerhouses, but, the history lies in favour of Leicester with 21 wins to Sarries’ 14, there have also been a surprising amount of draws, four to be exact, in the 39 games.
Saracens vs Leicester Tigers: Prediction
A bit like betting on Red over and over, you will get it wrong once or twice, but that glitch has already come for Saracens, and they look to be back to their unstoppable best. A home game, against a team that is slowly finding its feet, will be a tough encounter, but one that the Sarries will walk away from with the Win.
Saracens vs Leicester Tigers: Tips
Saracens are basing a lot of their rugby on forward domination, but they are also scoring most of their tries through the back. However, this domination does lead to some surprising try scorers, and one man who has an eye for the tryline is Mako Vunipola. Back him for a try and watch the returns flood in.
