Sol de America vs Deportivo Capiata
Competition: Paraguay Clausura
Date: 30 July 2018
Kick-off: 22:50 CET
Two games in something over 72 hours, four points dropped in the Clausura, despite the fact that in both matches Sol de América took the lead. First, it was at Sportivo Luqueño, where Sol “managed” to get equalized 2-2, a game they should have won easily. Then, at home, against Deportivo Santaní, one of the weakest teams in the league, again Sol took the lead, again they got equalized in the dying minutes of the match. The last 72 hours they signed three players, and among them, 28-year-old striker Mario Ricardo, a guy who scored an out-of-this-world goal against Cerro Porteño a few days ago, in the Copa Paraguay, playing for Primera B side Cristóbal Colón. He was signed by Sol, despite his… modest background, and the fact that he can’t see from his left eye, which, of course, makes his success to become a professional football player all the more impressive.
Deportivo Capiatá were lucky to earn a point against Libertad last Monday. They did take the lead in the first half, but all in all they were second best on the pitch, seeing Libertad miss several big chances to win the game after equalizing in the 60th minute. A day later, Capiatá… scored an even more important “goal”, signing veteran striker Santiago Salcedo for 18 months. “Sasa” actually started playing football at Capiatá as a teenager, before moving on to bigger clubs. Until a few days ago, he belonged to Libertad, where he spent the first half of the year. Despite the fact that Aldo Bobadilla, the coach who had marginalized Salcedo at Libertad (he was training with the reserves) left the club, Salcedo still left Libertad.

Sol de America vs Deportivo Capiata: Prediction
I don’t trust Sol to win the game, not after the ridiculous way they wasted four points in something over 72 hours. I prefer to bet on goals instead.
