Sol de America vs Sportivo Luqueno
Competition: Paraguay Clausura
Date: 6 October 2018
Kick-off: 01:50 CET
Sol de América… make little sense. After beating Olimpia 2-1, they lost at General Díaz, and last weekend lost again, at Deportivo Santaní. Midweek, they were losing to RI 3 Corrales, a modest club from a lower division, in the Copa Paraguay. At the end, Sol won, 3-1, but it’s clear that they are going through a… low point, losing to the weakest teams in the championship, and struggling against a team from a lower division. They are on 13 points from 12 matches in the Clausura, poor, sitting 9th in the table. What’s ironic is that because of Paraguay’s many international tickets, Libertadores and Sudamericana combined, Sol have real chances of playing international football next season.
Sol may be having a very poor Clausura, but at least they don’t have to worry about getting relegated. Sportivo Luqueño have been… flirting with that danger for weeks now, and their 0-0 draw with Libertad last weekend wasn’t a bad result (given whom they were facing), but it still left them with one point, not three. They are fourth-to-last in the “promedio” table, still under threat by Deportivo Santaní and Independiente de Campo Grande. Their coach, Javier Sanguinetti, is expected to give youngster Carlos Sanabria a spot in the starting lineup, in their offensive line, next to Fredy Bareiro. Against Libertad, it was Fabio Escobar and Armando Benítez who had started the game up front. Generally, Sportivo Luqueño are expected to have Bernardo Medina, Joel Roa, Rubén Monges, Joel Benítez, Gustavo Giménez, Blas Armoa, Mathías Villasanti, Marcos Riveros, Walter Ortiz, Sanabria and Bareiro in the starting lineup.

Sol de America vs Sportivo Luqueno: Head to head Stats
Two Sol wins and three draws in the last five games between these two in Villa Elisa.
Sol de America vs Sportivo Luqueno: Prediction
I wouldn’t even consider betting on winners and losers in this game, considering both teams extremely unreliable.
Sol de America vs Sportivo Luqueno: Betting Tips
Generally, I would avoid betting on this game. If I absolutely had to choose something paying well enough, I would go for “both teams to score”, at 2.05, seeing that five out of Sol’s six home games in the Clausura have had both them and their visitors score.
