Sporting Cristal vs Godoy Cruz
Competition: Copa Libertadores
Date: 13 March 2019
Kick-off: 01:30 CET
Sporting Cristal played their part last week in producing a truly unforgettable game, when they visited Universidad Concepción. They went down 2-0 and 4-2, but incredibly, they equalized twice, 2-2 and 4-4, both in the second half(!). Under different circumstances, Cristian Palacios would have been a hero for the Peruvian side, as he was the guy who equalized both times, scoring twice, but Concepción had a player (Patricio Rubio) who scored not twice, not thrice, but four times, including in added time, sentencing Sporting Cristal to a 5-4 defeat. Their home game on Saturday was… exactly the opposite, an uninspiring 1-0 home win over Unión Comercio, with the only goal of the match coming from the penalty spot less than 10 minutes after kick-off.
Godoy Cruz missed an awesome chance to take the lead less than 60 seconds into the game last week, at home, against Olimpia, at that point it looked like they had started the game with their mind set on… going for it, winning it, but the rest of the game (well, actually, practically the whole game) turn out to be a very different case; El Tomba created just one more big chance before the final whistle, and what made them look even worse was that they sort of let Olimpia keep control of the ball. If you turned the TV on during the game, or caught it online, and you didn’t know who were playing against whom, you’d be left with the impression that the white and blacks (Olimpia) were playing at home, and the blue ones were the guests. On Saturday, Godoy Cruz drew again, 0-0, at home, with Rosario Central, their third goalless draw in a row, Superliga and Copa Libertadores combined.

Sporting Cristal vs Godoy Cruz: Betting Tips
Godoy Cruz’s double chance is at 1.57, low, but combined with “under 2.5 goals” it pays 2.35. If I went for goals exclusively, my choice would be “under 1.5”, at 2.80.
