Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 16 March 2019
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Stuttgart gave a real fight at Borussia Dortmund last weekend, but still lost, 3-1, conceding twice in the last 10 minutes. All in all, they left good impressions, as if showing everyone that they shouldn’t really be sitting 16th in the table, flirting – heavily – with relegation. If the season were over today, they would have to go through playoffs to avoid getting relegated. Augsburg, placed 15th, are three points ahead of them, so everything can change in a single weekend. Zieler, Beck, Kabak, Pavard, Kempf, Insua, Esswein, Ascacibar, Castro, Zuber and Gomez, this should be the starting lineup. Coach Markus Weinzierl must be thrilled to have all his players at his disposal, no one is suspended, no one is injured. Even Nico González is back, having served his three-game ban.
Andrej Kramarić scored twice – more – last weekend to give Hoffenheim a 2-1 win at home over Nurnberg, their second in their last six games. You would expect them to take care of things easier and faster, as they were hosting the team sitting at the bottom of the table, but actually Hoffenheim needed a penalty kick to open the scoring in the 25th minute, got equalized in the second half, before Kramaric ran to the rescue in the 78th minute. They sit 8th, on 37 points, five behind 6th-placed Leverkusen. If there are no late surprises, they will start with Baumann, Bicakcic, Vogt, Hübner, Kaderabek, Grillitsch, Demirbay, Schulz, Kramaric, Belfodil and Joelinton. Coach Julian Nagelsmann cannot count on suspended Adams and injured Geiger.

Three wins for the hosts and two for Hoffenheim in the five games between these two in Stuttgart the last seven years.
Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim: Prediction
Hoffenheim are considered relatively clear favorites to win. Deep down though, I see the hosts earn at least one point this weekend.
Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim: Betting Tips
Stuttgart’s double chance is at 1.95. For more than that, I would combine their double chance with “over 1.5”, at 2.30, and even “over 2.5 goals”, at 3.20.
