Tigre vs Union Santa Fe
Competition: Argentina Copa de la Superliga
Date: 30 April 2019
Kick-off: 00:00 CET
Respect… Tigre hosted Colón something over a week ago, having drawn 0-0 in Santa Fe. In the 36th minute, they found themselves 0-2 down(!), and keep in mind, the away goal rule is applied on the Copa de la Superliga, meaning that Tigre had to score three goals (and not concede another) in less than an hour. That is exactly what they did, despite playing with 10 men after equalizing 2-2, with more than 30 minutes left on the clock. Huge win for the Victoria side, who remained alive in the competition, two weeks after getting relegated. Great news for the club was, midweek, that Walter Montillo said he is considering staying, despite having offers from top division teams. Interestingly, talking to reporters, he said nothing about money, but focused on “training facilities, trips, hotels”. He said if the president guarantees him that the conditions (for Tigre’s players) in the second division will be as professional as in the top one, he will seriously think about staying.
Unión beat San Martín de Tucumán 3-0 at home something over a week ago to qualify for the last 16 of the Copa de la Superliga, but other than that, their last two weeks were full of… bitter moments; first, they got eliminated in the Copa Sudamericana, by Independiente del Valle, despite winning 2-0 at home in the first leg. Defeat by the same score in Quito, kicked-out of the competition in the penalty shoot-out that followed. Just a few days ago, another failure in another competition; they lost 0-1 to modest Barracas Central, in the Copa Argentina. What is… ironic, is that before kick-off, Unión’s players made a “pasillo” for their rivals (they stood right-left and applauded them as they showed up on the pitch for the start of the match), because Central earned their promotion from the B Metropolitana to the second – national – division. The Copa de la Superliga is all Unión are left with until late July, when the new Superliga season will start.

Tigre vs Union Santa Fe: Betting Tips
Tigre’s win is at 2.20. Combined with “over 2.5 goals” it pays 4.00. Don’t be disheartened, Tigre have played their part is several “wild-score” matches these last months (and even earlier in the season, when they couldn’t win two games in a row).
