Tigres UANL vs Toronto
Competition: CONCACAF Champions League
Date: 14 March 2018
Kick-off: 03:00 CET
“Toronto FC win in the first leg, Tigres UANL to qualify”. That’s what I thought before the first leg, which Toronto FC won indeed, and that’s where I’m still standing at. Tigres took the lead early in the second half last week in Canada, missed chances to score more, but conceded twice to lose the game. Even so, that goal they scored, may prove huge. Last weekend they beat Tijuana 1-0 at home, going to 21 points from 11 matches in Mexico’s championship. Tigres have four wins in their last five games, and even that 2-1 in Toronto wasn’t the worst possible defeat, as they still scored. In their seven home matches in 2018, only Club América managed to deny them, earning a 1-1 draw. The other six matches ended in Tigres wins.
Toronto’s win at 2.20 was my only tip last week, and it came good, despite the fact that Giovinco’s team went 1-0 down early in the second half. Honestly, I’m jealous of the Toronto FC fans who were at the stadium last week, especially those sitting (more like… standing) behind Tigres’ goalposts in the second half. Toronto played a game to remember, with passion and guts that you usually see in finals. The fact that the pitch was in way less than… stellar conditions, sort of made the game even more… memorable(!), it made it feel like a “battle”, with every ball challenged fully. Still, Toronto’s winner in the 89th minute was an absolute beauty (by Osorio). Unlike Tigres, Toronto didn’t play last weekend. Spanish midfielder Victor Vazquez traveled with the squad to Mexico, despite his back problem. He could still play, probably having a pain-killer (injection) before the match.

Tigres UANL vs Toronto: Betting Tips
A simple Tigres win pays 1.45. I expect goals, at least as many as last week. “Over 2.5” is at 1.95, and combined with Tigres’ win it goes up to 2.60.
