Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 13 September 2017
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Venue: Wembley Stadium
One thing is for sure, if Tottenham Hotspur fail to win this game, Mauricio Pochettino will have to answer yet again to “is it Wembley? Is the stadium… cursed for Tottenham?” questions, like he does after every single game Tottenham play there and fail to win. They have two big wins away from home at the start of the new Premier League season, but both were on the road, at Newcastle (2-0) and Everton (3-0, last weekend). At “home”, Wembley, their temporary home until the new White Heart Lane will be ready, they lost to Chelsea and only drew to Burnley. Last season, in the group stage of the Champions League, they lost to Monaco and Leverkusen at Wembley, and only beat CSKA Moscow, failing to make it to the last 16 of the competition.
New coach (Peter Bosz, the one who led Ajax last season to the Europa League final), some new players, several changes at Borussia Dortmund, but Aubameyang stayed, and possibly their biggest… bet this season, will be to stay healthy and fit, their key players, which was not the case last season, costing them the chance to fight for the championship. They have started the new Bundesliga campaign positively, beating Wolfsburg (away from home) and Hertha Berlin by a total score of 5-0. Last weekend they drew 0-0 at Freiburg, and they are sharing the top spot of the table with Hoffenheim and Hannover.

Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund: Head to head Stats
Tottenham Hotspur have hosted Dortmund once before a year and a half ago, in the Europa League’s round of 16. The German side won 2-1 (and 3-0 in Dortmund).
Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund: Prediction
I feel it’s time for Tottenham to get a really big result at Wembley. I have little doubt they will look more competitive in the Champions League this season, compared to the previous one, and I do expect them to start the group stage campaign with a victory.
Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund: Betting Tips
Tottenham’s win is at 2.35 betting odds, and I consider it good enough to avoid risking further with special bets.
