Ulster vs Bordeaux
Competition: European Rugby Champions Cup
Date: 21 January 2017
Kick-off: 14:00 CET
Ulster may be at the bottom of Pool Five, but there are still definitely in with a shot of qualifying alongside Clermont who are home and dry with a game to play. They will need to beat Bordeaux, and they will need another result to go their way, but they have performed well at times in the Group stages.
Bordeaux, as well as Exeter and Exeter, have all won two games and lost three, but it is the bonus points that are making the difference as Bordeaux have a four-try and a losing bonus point. The French side will know that Ulster are a quality side that has a taste for French sides as they defeated Clermont in one of the games of the season at home, so it will be a game that Bordeaux need to be at their best if they are to even hope to qualify.
For Ulster, they do have the most work to do, but first task is to beat Bordeaux at home, and they should also be aiming for a bonus point as a win could get them a point behind Exeter, but a bonus point will help them have a bigger chance if it comes down to points difference s for that last qualifying spot. Ulster were well beaten by Clermont on their return journey, but because this is a home game, and the French do not like traveling, they will start as favourites.

Ulster vs Bordeaux: Prediction
This should be a fascinating game as these two teams scrap to survive, knowing that they still need a result to go their way in the other match. Being at home will be in their favour, but Bordeaux are a scrapping and determined team and will be every so keen to qualify. The home advantage will probably be the deciding factor.
