Ulster vs Glasgow Warriors
Competition: Guinness Pro12
Date: 18 February 2017
Kick-off: 16:00 CET
Ulster and the Warriors are in their own little battle in the middle of the table as the Irish side look to chase down the top Scottish side. Ulster will know that a win, at home, will make for a good leap up the log, and a move directly above Glasgow.
Glasgow have the advantage at the moment in the log standing as they sit in fifth, but only by three points of of Ulster. And while they are looking over their shoulder, traveling to Ireland to face a team that impressed in the Champions League, they will also have eyes forward as the Scarlets are also in their reach, just three points above them. This block of fifth and sixth, is clearly a cut above the rest of the bottom half of the table, and with teams like these, full of pride, the focus will be on pushing higher and higher up the log as the season looks to start winding down.
For Ulster, they have a game in hand too, which they will want to utilize because as it stands, they have won the same amount of encounters as their opponents for this weekend. But the issue is that the try bonus points have not been going their way. However, Ulster have also been buoyed by the return of their new signing Marcell Coetzee who played his first game returning from injury to make a massive impact in their 24-18 win against another Scottish side Edinburgh.
