Wolfsburg vs Hoffenheim
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 8 December 2018
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Impressive Wolfsburg have beaten two top four teams the last two weeks. Last weekend they won 1-2 at Eintracht Frankfurt, a result that cost their rivals their top four spot (now occupied by Bayern Munich). They are 8th in the table, on 18 points, meaning that in their last two games they earned half of the points they had picked up in the first 11 game weeks combined. Bruno Labbadia doesn’t have William and Brooks at his disposal, as both saw their fifth yellow card of the season last week, and have to sit out this weekend. Camacho, Jung and Tisserand are injured. According to reports, Casteels, Verhaegh, Knoche, Uduokhai, Roussillon, Gerhardt, Arnold, Rexhbecaj, Mehmedi, Ginczek and Weghorst will be in the starting lineup.
Just before the last international break, Hoffenheim were doing great, both domestically and in the Champions League. Fast forward to today, after two draws in the Bundesliga and a painful defeat in the Champions League, the best they can finish in their group is third, so as to play in the Europa League next year, and in the Bundesliga they have fallen 6th in the table. They need a good result, before flying to Manchester, for their last CL group stage match. Baumann, Bicakcic, Vogt, Adams, Kaderabek, Grillitsch, Demirbay, Schulz, Kramaric, Szalai and Joelinton, these should be the first 11. There are three players Julian Nagelsmann doesn’t have at his disposal, Nordtveit, Otto, and Rupp (all three injured). It’s impressive that Hoffenheim have scored either three or four goals in each of their last four games away from home, winning three, and drawing in one (that 3-3 at Hertha Berlin, right after the international break).

Wolfsburg vs Hoffenheim: Prediction
Hoffenheim are considered favorites to win the game, but Wolfsburg have been awesome, especially defensively, in their last two matches, beating top four sides.
Wolfsburg vs Hoffenheim: Betting Tips
I’m going against the odds, suggesting “under 2.5 goals”, at 2.50, impressed by how well Wolfsburg did defensively in their last two games, against very strong opponents. Their double chance pays 1.61, and their win in “draw no bet” is at 2.20.
