Young Boys vs Dinamo Zagreb
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 22 August 2018
Kick-off: 21:00 CET
Having won the championship in Switzerland last season (ridiculously easily, leaving second-placed Basel 15 whole points behind them), Young Boys didn’t need to play qualifiers, they… jumped the line to the play-offs. In four championship games this season, they are the only team on 12 points, having maintained a perfect record. Not just that; they have scored at least two goals in each game, and they kept a clean sheet in their first three. They have “sold” just one player this summer, center-back Kasim Adams, a 23-year-old Ghanaian, to Hoffenheim. On the other hand, they signed 21-year-old center-back Mohamed Camara (Guinean, from Hapoel Raanana), and Ulisses Garcia, a 22-year-old left-back (from Werder Bremen). Guillaume Hoarau may be 34, but he has already scored four goals for them in the championship, having netted in three of their four matches there.
“Under 2.5 goals” (1.95), and Dinamo Zagreb’s clean sheet (2.37), were my two tips last week when the Croatian side hosted Astana, and both came good, as Dinamo won the game 1-0 (Mario Gavranović scored in the 74th minute). They had beaten Astana 0-2 in Kazakhstan, in the first leg, pretty much securing their presence in the play-offs even before the return leg. Dinamo have played eight official matches thus far this season, four in the Champions League qualifiers, and four in their championship. They have won six of those, including the last five. They are still undefeated, having dropped just two points in their championship. Last weekend they beat Osijek 2-1 at home, leading from very early, and putting the game to bed in the 86th minute, making it 2-0. The goal they allowed in added time didn’t change anything. It’s impressive that their last seven goals have been scored by seven different players(!).

The hosts’ win is at 1.72, my main tip. For more than that, I would risk with “Young Boys and over 2.5 goals”, at 2.50.
